Arthur Albert ('Esme') Collings worked originally with his father Esme H. Collings in Brighton. They formed a partnership with William Friese-Greene in 1885. Collings also worked in Liverpool before moving to London, opening studios on Bond Street and later on New Bond Street. He specialised in miniatures on vellum as well as more conventional platinotypes.
