An Art Detective proposed discussion on Art UK saw a contributor reveal much more information about Zeitter.
Dates: 1798-1862. Submitted works to the Royal Academy between 1824 and 1841. He also showed works at the British Institution and the Suffolk Street Gallery, and was a member, until his death, of the Royal Society of British Artists. He was one of the eight founding members of the Langham Sketching Club. Zeitter lived in London. The painter also was a prolific engraver, the British Museum holds 74 examples of his works.
