Murdo Young was the Proprietor of The Sun newspaper. He was originally from Scotland and was quite the poet also. His daughter, Ann Kent nee Young was an author under the pen name of Adrian, as women weren't accepted into the literary world at that time. Ann married William Charles Mark Kent (known as Charles Kent) who would buy the newspaper from Murdo and was its editor from 1845 to 1871. He was a close friend of Charles Dickens, and in fact, the last letter written by Mr. Dickens was to my great, great grandfather Charles Kent
