Irene Rooke

Actress. Rooke trained with the Ben Greet Shakespeare Company and first appeared on stage in 1895. She starred alongside Gordon Craig in his 1897 production of Hamlet. She took major parts in the plays of Oscar Wilde, John Galsworthy and George Bernard Shaw.
