Sitter in 1 portrait
Born in London to Indian parents, Sawhney is a critically acclaimed composer, musician, DJ and producer whose work combines influences as diverse as jazz, electronic and Asian music. His versatile approach to music as a 'place with no barriers' has led him to write music for film, television and computer games. He has performed with classical orchestras and collaborated with choreographers and visual artists, such as Akram Khan and Antony Gormley in Zero Degrees (2005). Sawhney is also active in the promotion of the arts and is a frequent cultural commentator in the media.
