Francis Rolfe was my step-grandfather. His daughter, Catherine was my father, Frank Edmund Stafford's third wife. She and her younger sister Constance joined the UN at its inception as interpreters and translators in Italian and French. Catherine was on the UN staff to Eritrea in 1952(?) for the four power commission on former Italian colonies. My father was head of the UK delegation. Francis Rolfe died of a heart attack two weeks after the photograph was taken.
