Jonathan Pryce

Actor. Pryce appeared at the Royal Court in Richard Eyre's celebrated production of Hamlet(1980) for which he won the Society of West End Theatres' Best Actor award. His breakthrough as a film actor came with his role in Brazil (1985) and he went on to win the Best Actor Award at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of Lytton Strachey in Carrington (1995). His appearances on the London stage include Professor Higgins in the National Theatre's My Fair Lady (2001), for which he received an Olivier Award nomination, and Martin Gray in The Goat, or who is Sylvia? (2004) at the Almeida Theatre.
