Complicated: Cowper was painted by the Count d'Orsay, and after Orsay's death (1852) Cowper married Orsay's widow, Lady Harriet Anne Jane Frances Gardiner. However the Orsay marriage had been a strange one, undertaken when the bride was 15, as a cover for the fact that Orsay was her stepmother's lover. The stepmother in question was Marguerite, Countess Blessington.
