Thomas Slingsby Duncombe (1796-1861), Radical politician
Sitter in 12 portraits
MP for Finsbury, 1834-1861, Duncombe was admired both for his radical politics and dandyish personal style. His association with Chartism began in 1840 when he unsuccessfully asked Parliament to pardon John Frost and the Newport insurgents.
