Henry Parry Liddon

(1829-1890), Church of England clergyman and theologian

A man of wit and religious fervour, Liddon was a popular preacher and important churchman. A Student (Fellow) of Christ Church, Oxford, from 1850, he became Canon, and later chancellor, of St Paul's Cathedral.
