Novelist; the daughter of the Edwardian socialite, Alice Keppel, Violet Trefusis was the author of a number of works written both in French and English, including the novels Sortie de Secours (1929) and Echo (1931) and a book of reminiscences, Don't Look Round (1952). From 1918 to 1921 she was the lover of Vita Sackville-West.
