I think Waterlow House, part of South Hampstead High School for Girls, was his family home. The school has been rebuilt since I attended and I suspect the house has been demolished. it was a lovely building with a wooden staircase, a large front room with huge windows as I remember and cellars which contained the school cloakrooms. I remember wood panelling and tilied flooors.
