Emma Romer is my great great great aunt. My brother and I both became opera singers in New Zealand and Australia not knowing about our famous aunt. Emma's brother, Frances, was our 2 times great grandfather and he was a composer and publisher in the mid 1800s in Middlesex. They were a musical family and I believe Emma's cousin Ann was a singer but I can't find much about her. I would be most interested to find out if either of them sang Mozart operas, as those operas suited me best along with Donizetti (Norina in Don Pasqale was my greatest success).
Emma Romer sang opera from 1830 until she undertook the management of the Surrey Theatre in 1852.
