Oliver Green

After reading Your distressing story I am not sure if One is able to find something relevant. However, I am The Youngest' Son of Kenneth Green The Artist in Question !
I pity You for loosing that Portrait of all You close Loved Ones.
Kenneth Died in 1986 at an old age. We were left with not much in the way of paintings. If I find any drawings associated with Your' Family in Question I shall let You Know. The only difficulty is getting to that estate to look through what remains in a lofty room. My Family in England are probably engaged elsewhere, and I am passing to and from Monte-Carlo from one place or another. I am in Greece at the moment and uncertain when I am in a position to gain access to My Fathers' small estate. (However I promise to do so as soon as am able .) With my Good to all and Kind regards from Oliver Green

I have recently acquired Kenneth Green's 1931 portrait of Sir George Henschel, baritone, pianist, conductor, and composer, the first conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (1881). Interested parties may inquire at [email protected].

The artist. Kenneth Green painted a portrait of my late husband & brother-in-law as children - John about 7 Dick approx 5 (around 1928) The boys to cast lots as to which owned it after their parents death. Meanwhile the portrait was temporarily housed with the Late Dr. Mary Adams from where it was reportedly stolen. I am not interested in recovery only if ever discovered I'd like the work to regain it's history. Identifying oddity...Dick wearing odd shoes, buttoned in one sitting laced in second sitting. I have only a fading photo to verify existence. Sitters. John Campbell Maxwell & Richard Renwick Maxwell sons of Sir Alec Maxwell & Dr Jessie MacNaughton Maxwell.
