John Sanders

John Sanders, painter, was the son of a pastel painter. Sanders was a student at the Royal Academy Schools in 1769 and first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1771. In 1778 he moved to Norwich, but continued to contribute portraits to the Royal Academy. In 1790 he settled in Bath, where he established a successful portrait painting practice.
