Ishbel Myerscough (1968-)
Artist of 8 portraits
Painter, studied at Glasgow and the Slade Schools of Art; three times a minor prize-winner in the National Portrait Gallery's annual BP Portrait Award competition, she won first prize in 1995 and as a result was commissioned to paint Helen Mirren's portrait for the collection; in 1992 she painted Graham Gooch's portrait for the Marylebone Cricket Club. She paints entirely from life and usually has numerous sittings with her subjects.
