She lived in Ngongotaha in the later part of her life, not far from Rotorua NZ. My great grandfather William Bell who had the lease of Fairy Springs along with his wife Robina would visit her, apparently there was a family link between her and the Bell family (unconfirmed). She was very elitist and would not allow my great grandmother Robina to visit as the Waugh family were not aristocratic enough. There is a great story of my mother as a child on the lawn at Fairy Springs, waving a ponga frond and singing, 'I'm Lady Wavertree, I'm Lady Wavertree'! The women of the family loved that performance, they didn't approve of Lady Wavertree!
