Thomas Bennett & Sons

(active 1856-circa 1916), Photographers

Artist associated with 5 portraits
The firm founded by Thomas Bennett in 1856 became known as Bennett & Son when Thomas John Bennett took over as operator in 1883. Based in Broad Street, Worcester, the firm photographed two of the subjects at the Devonshire House Ball, both members of the Lygon family, one of whom, Earl Beauchamp, was also Mayor of Worcester. They photographed the Duchess of Teck in 1897. The firm was taken over by the Dowty family, who still run a business in the town.
