Norman McBeath has worked in Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Oxford and now lives in Edinburgh. He has a degree in psychology and his work is about people and places. His solo exhibitions have shown at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford; Edinburgh Printmakers; the French Institute, Edinburgh; and the Royal College of Music, London. His work has also featured in exhibitions at the Leica Gallery, New York; the National Portrait Gallery, London; the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh; and the Royal Academy of Arts, London. Publications include 'Oxford at Night' (2006); 'City Stories' (2008); and 2 collaborations with poets: 'Plan B (2009) with Paul Muldoon & 'Simonides' (2011) with Robert Crawford.
