1. He drew maps for Wellington during the Peninsular War.
2. His son General John Philip Bainbrigge was also an artist, His water colours
are in a Museum in either Toronto or Ottawa. American Indian topics.
3. His great grandson was responsible for the research that led to acceptance of a long lost Velazquez, now in the National Gallery
