Rebekah Brooks (née Wade)

Wade joined the News of the World as a researcher in 1989, rising to become its editor in 2000. In 2003, Wade became the first female editor of the Sun newspaper. In June 2009, she married racehorse trainer Charlie Brooks and in September of that year she became Chief Executive of News International, the publisher of The Times, Sunday Times, News of the World and the Sun; a post she held until July 2011.
