The frontispiece to John Clare's " The Rural Muse " has an engraving of the Clare Helpston cottage by " C. Marr". The first edition appeared in 1835 . No other information has yet come to light about him. Might he be the same Charles W. Marr?

John Clare went to London 4 times. In 1820 and 1822 he mixed with a number of the leading members of the arts and literary circle in London at the time
His editors and publishers, Taylor and Hessey, gave a dinner party in his honour.
Among those he met, and in some cases got to know well were: William Hilton ( who painted the most well-known portrait of Clare), Peter de Wint, Thomas Wainwright, Charles Lamb, Thomas Hood. He was also invited to visit Lawrence at his studio.
Clare wrote a very astute "pen-portrait" of Hazlitt ( a guest at the dinner party) which is included in Clare's "Autobiographical Fragments".
Taylor and Hessey published Keats as well as Clare and several other writers .
Might they have used "C. Marr" to make other engravings? I don't know 1st editions well enough to be able to answer that.
