Miranda Hart

Comedy writer and actress. Hart studied politics at UWE Bristol and acting at London's Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. After stand-up and sketch shows in London and Edinburgh, Hart first came to prominence on television with her award-winning role in the science-fiction sitcom Hyperdrive (2006-7). In 2009, Hart wrote and starred in two series of the self-titled BBC sitcom Miranda. She won the award for Best Comedy Performance at the Royal Television Society Awards (2010). She also appeared in the popular BBC drama Call the Midwife (2012-15).
