Christopher Reid

(1949-), Poet, writer and cartoonist

Hong Kong-born poet, writer and cartoonist, Reid studied at Oxford University from 1968-71. His first poetry collection Arcadia (1979) won the 1980 Somerset Maugham Award and the Hawthornden Prize. His collection A Scattering (2009) won the 2009 Costa Book of the Year. Reid's illustrations have appeared in Punch and London Magazine. His work as Poetry Editor for Faber and Faber included The Selected Letters of Ted Hughes (2007).
