Florence Haig was my great aunt. At the end of her life she lived in a mansion flat off Maida Vale with her sister Eva. In our family house there are several portraits of other family members painted by her. We only have sketchy details of her activities in the Women's' Suffrage movement but she and her sister and several other cousins were closely involved. She made a living as a portrait painter and was very successful. Apart from family members whom, presumably, she did not charge I have not seen any other examples of her work. Her sister, Eva, painted portrait miniatures and was also very accomplished.
