David Tremlett

Tremlett attended the Falmouth School of Art (1962-3) before studying sculpture at Birmingham College of Art (1963-6) and the Royal College of Art, London. He came to prominence during the 1970s alongside artists such as Richard Long. Tremlett is best known for his site-specific wall drawings in museums, galleries, and historic buildings. He was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1992, and solo exhibitions include Drawing Rooms at the Hamburg Kunsthalle (2010).
