Adelaide Lubbockis mentioned on page 172 of 'The Letters of Nancy Mitford and Evelyn Waugh' as the mistress (close friend?) of Peter Rodd who was married to Nancy Mitford although their relationship had deteriorated greatly at that point, 1950. Rodd is described as"Handsome, arrogant and irredeemably unreliable son of 1st Baron Rennell."
I searched for Adelaide Lubbock in hope of knowing more about her but alas, very little is available via Google.
