Elinor Escreet Lewin was my great-aunt. The name should be Elinor. She was the daughter of the Rev. Samuel Lewin, vicar of Tealby in Lincolnshire but was adopted by Basil L. Richardson and his wife as a child. (I don't know why but I think they were friends of my great great grandfather). I can provide a "citation" for the birth but not the adoption.

Oops. Sorry. Elinor Escreet Lewin was adopted by Basil Edwin Richardson whose wife's maiden name was Escreet. They must have been friends of my great great grandparents.
