Jenny Eclair

Born Jenny Hargreaves, the comedian, novelist and actress began performing as a punk poet in the 1980s. Success came in the 1990s with hit shows at the Edinburgh Festival including Mummy's Little Boy (1992) and Prozac and Tantrums (1995) for which she became the first female winner of the Perrier award. She is widely known for her performances on television in Packet of Three (1991), The Comedy Network (1997) and Jenny Éclair's Private Function (1999). Eclair also performed on the West End stage in 2003 in Mum's the Word and on tour with her show Eclairious (2012). She wrote her first novel Camberwell Beauty in 2000.
