Also known under the alias of Gwendoline Cook, in 1913 she was found breaking the windows of home secretary Reginald McKenna's house with Mary Aldham. In the same year, she attempted to throw leaflets on women's suffrage into the Royal carriage and the following year was detained by police for causing damage to public art and public offices.
