Minda de Gunzburg died in 1985.
She was married to Baron Alain de Gunzburg. She was the daughter of Saidye and Samuel Bronfman, the Canadian businessman who founded Distillers Corporation Limited and Seagram. She received her Master's degree in history and She continued the family legacy of philanthropy and was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, founding the Association for the Support and Diffusion of Art. The Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard is named in honour of her family's generous financial support.
