Sir John Marnoch KVCO (1867-1936) was Surgeon to the Royal Household in Scotland[1], Regius Professor of Surgery (Aberdeen) 1909-32 at the University of Aberdeen and performed an appendectomy on Prince Albert, the future King George VI when he was taken ill whilst serving as a midshipman on HMS Collingwood in 1916.
