Frederick John Norman (c.1814-1888) was the son of Richard Norman and his wife Lady Elizabeth Isabella Manners (daughter of Charles Manners, 4th Duke of Rutland). He was educated at Oakham School and Corpus Christi and Caius Colleges, Cambridge. He was vicar of Stonesby with Croxton-Kerrial, and then rector of of Bottesford. He married his cousin Lady Adeliza Elizabeth Gertrude Manners, who was photographed by Silvy in 1862.
