I'm thrilled to have just discovered this page. Judith Wogan was my great-aunt, having been married, briefly, to my great-uncle Edward Hain, son of Sir Edward Hain of St. Ives. Sadly, Edward jr. was killed at Galipolli on Nov. 11th, 1915, aged 28. They'd been married for 2-3 years I believe, leaving Judith a young widow.

Sir Edward memorialized a hospital in his son's honor, which is now the subject of a family battle, as the NHS is trying to close it. In taking up the cause to prevent that from happening, I (Sir E's youngest great-granddaughter, living in the USA) and various siblings and cousins, have been dug up quite a bit of family history. I never knew until last year that Edward had even been married. I knew of Judith until today was that she ended up in London running a successful puppet theatre in Hampstead, and that she died in 1966.

Then my cousin just emailed that he'd discovered that she belonged to this acting troupe, and this photo's turned up. So fascinating! I am eager to know more about her.

Following her career with the Arts League of Service, Judith Wogan started the Grafton Theatre at Tottenham Court Road London, 1930, which is now concealed in the basement of Macdonald's restaurant.
