Guy Brett is a dear friend and colleague whom I’ve known for 35 years and who’s written about my art works for my monograph which was published by Iniva (2004). He’s an astute, deep and generous thinker always willing to engage conceptually with artists and ideas that fall beyond the usual trajectory of a Eurocentric art history. He has had a profound impact on modes of thinking about art and the framing of practice. It’s great to see David Medalla and Gustav Metzger in this photograph sitting beside Guy. This is a hugely important and historic photograph in your collection which I’m extremely delighted to see here. Thank you.
