Henry P Davison II

02 September 2018, 03:29

Patrick was awarded a scholarship to Princeton in 1926 as part of an exchange program funded by an American financier named Henry P Davison, who had been head of the American Red Cross in WWI and understood the value of the relationship between the British and the Americans. As the Senior Partner at JPMorgan, Henry P Davison was one of the most powerful bankers in the world, but died of a brain tumor at the age of 55. The scholarships were created in his memory by his wife, and Patrick was one of the first Davison Scholars.
