Leyla Hussein is a multi-award winning campaigner on gender rights and reproductive health, and co-founder of Daughters of Eve, a non-profit organisation that works to advance the rights of young people from female genital mutilation (FGM) practising communities. Her documentary film The Cruel Cut (2013) received a BAFTA nomination. She is a practising psychotherapist and founder of the Dahlia Project, which provides therapeutic support to FGM survivors.
