Andrew Barclay Walker travelled to Kilronan Castle, Keadue, Co. Roscommon, Ireland to meet his sister's intended husband Henry Edwyn King-Tenison 9th Earl of Kingston. Perhaps the purpose of the visit was to negotiate the dowry etc, but in order to lighten the atmosphere they coupled the marriage negotiations with a regatta on Lough Boderg, Co. Roscommon. Both Barclay Walker and King Tenison were enthusiastic yachtsmen in 'rater' yachts.
