Peter Keen joined The Observer as staff photographer in 1958 after freelancing for weekly magazines and newspapers. He became the paper's Art Editor in 1960. Joined The Sunday Times Magazine in 1963, before freelancing for the The Daily Telegraph Magazine (1965-74).
