Marie Kaye Wouldes Löhr (Lohr)

Born in Sydney, Australia, Löhr made her stage debut aged four in The World Against Her in Sydney. Her London debut was made in 1901 in Shockheaded Peter at the Garrick Theatre. Löhr's many stage successes included lead roles in J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan (1927) and Dodie Smith's Call it a Day (1935). In 1959 she appeared in John Osborne's The World of Paul Slickley. Löhr's film appearances included critically acclaimed performances in George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion (1938) and Major Barbara (1941).
