Phyllis Stanley
(1914-1992), Actress, singer and dancerSitter in 1 portrait
Star of British films from the 1930s up until the 1950s. Made her screen debut in Too Many Millions (1934). Played Della in St Martin's Lane (1938) along side Vivien Leigh and Charles Laughton. Most noted for her roles as fifth columnist in Next of Kin (1942) and They Met in the Dark (1943). Made four films in Hollywood between 1951-6.
