This gentleman was the eldest son of David Bruce Peebles, founder of the Peebles (gas engineers) and Bruce Peebles (electrical engineers) companies.
He attended the funeral of his younger brother Arthur Charlesworth Peebles on 1 June 1951.
The electrical business continues as Parsons Peebles Generation Ltd

His mother Rosa Clapham born 10/01/1840 Leeds (a great-great-great aunt).
His brother John Reid Peebles born 1877 Edinburgh captain on 1rst/7th Batallion, Royal Scots (Lothian Regt) † in action 28/06/1915 in Gallipoli (Turkey).
His brother Arthur Charlesworth Peebles born13/05/1874 Edinburgh †29/05/1951 Edinburgh captain-major, Edinburgh (Fortress) Royal Engineers during WW1.
His uncle Dr Edward Clapham born 25/10/1836 Leeds, surgeon 7th Michigan Volunteers (Potomac Army) during Secession War composer of "The American Volunteer’s Triomphal March".
