Arthur Fleischmann

Born in Bratislava and trained as a doctor, Fleischmann became a well-known sculptor in Vienna in the 1930s. He moved to Australia in 1939 and to Britain in the late 1940s, undertaking a number of public commissions in both countries. Working initially in ceramic and bronze, during the 1960s and 70s he worked extensively with perspex.
