Documentary film editor. First inspired by John Irvin's documentary The Inheritance (1960) produced by Mithras Films, Seymour joined the company to learn about documentary film-making. Became an assistant editor at World Wide Films, moving on to become a documentary editor with Dave Naden Associates and latterly a literary editor.

Judy Seymour edited 'We Are Responsible by Law', a Tyne Tees Television documentary, broadcast in 1969, about the importance of local government in Newcastle and the workings of the city council at the new landmark Civic Centre. The film was directed by John Irvin and is part of the collections at North East Film Archive and can be viewed online here:
