Editor of Apollo Magazine (1987-90).Trustee, Gilbert Collection,1998 .Publications include The Victoria and Albert Museum: the making of the Collection (1980) and Renaissance Jewels, Gold Boxes and Objets de Vertu in the Thyssen Collection (1995.)
