Sibyl May Dominica Heathcote (1878-1958) was the granddaughter of John Henry Manners Sutton (1822-1898) and Mary Jemima Burnaby (1835 - 1904) of Kelham Hall in north Nottinghamshire who married in1853. Sibyl's parents were Edith May Manners Sutton (d. 1924) and Robert Heathcote who married on 25 August 1877. In 1903 Sibyl married John Francis Hamilton Sinclair Cunliffe Brooks Forbers Goodeve-Erskine (d. 1932 without issue) who became the 28th Earl of Mar and as a result Sibyl became known as the Duchess of Mar.
