Film appearances include A Private Function (1984), In the Name of the Father (1993), for which he received an Oscar nomination, The Usual Suspects (1995) and Brassed Off (1997). Recent stage performances include a revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming at Manchester Royal Exchange and Scaramouche Jones, a one-man play at Bristol Old Vic, both in 2002.
