(1858-1944), Politician and college head

Sitter in 15 portraits
The Studd brothers were renowned gentlemen cricketers; they were the sons of Edward Studd, who had made his fortune in India. Educated at Eton and Cambridge they excelled at cricket and dominated the scene in the early 1880s. At Cambridge the brothers achieved consecutive victories from 1882 to 1884 captaining the university team. They were known as 'the set of Studd' and are seen here wearing their sporting attire.
