Erwin Blumenfeld

Early in his career Erwin Blumenfeld was involved with the Berlin Dadaist group that was important at the end of the First World War. He worked in photography in Amsterdam and by the 1930s had gained a reputation for his experimental nude studies. In 1936 he moved to Paris and worked for a number of magazines including Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. He moved to the United States in 1939.
