Steve Coogan

(1965-), Comedian and actor

After training as an actor at Manchester Polytechnic, Coogan provided voices for the 1980s satirical puppet show Spitting Image. Coogan is best known as the socially awkward presenter Alan Partridge, starring in radio and television series including Knowing Me Knowing You (1992-4) and I'm Alan Partridge, both of which received British Comedy Awards. His film appearances include 24 Hour Party People (2002), A Cock and Bull Story (2006) and Our Idiot Brother (2011). Coogan and Rob Brydon played caricatured versions of themselves in the The Trip (2010) and The Trip to Italy (2014).
